Giving Back to the College of Law?

Over the past 31 years, Georgia State's College of Law has grown in stature and reputation. Every College of Law student has benefited from the philanthropy of others, and our supporters are a vital component for the college's future development both physically and in the classroom.

An essential public-private partnership helps provide an affordable legal education of the highest quality, and by making an investment in time and financial support to the college, donors enhance the school's critical functions and programs as it serves the community and downtown Atlanta. The Development Office works to ensure the strength of the college by encouraging private investment in the school’s priorities including:

•  Annual Fund/Fund for Law
•  Programmatic support
•  Scholarships

The college encourages donors to contribute to the Fund for Law each year to ensure a dependable and ongoing source of support for the college’s annual operating budget and other important needs. Unrestricted gifts as well as designated programmatic giving through the College's Annual Fund helps support:

•  Programs
•  Student activities
•  Centers and Clinics
    •  Health Law Partnership Legal Services Clinic
    •  Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic
    •  Center for Metropolitan Growth
    •  Intellectual Property Initiative

    •  Center for Health Law & Society
    •  Investor Advocacy Clinic

Your support is a vehicle through which you can enhance your connection to the law school, and depending on the level at which you choose to participate, you may qualify for membership in the Dean's Club, the law school's annual leadership donor society. A gift of at least $1,000 to the College of Law qualifies you for a year-long membership in the Dean's Club.

Because state dollars cannot be used for scholarships, the college seeks individuals or corporate donors who can help attract talented students and ensure that graduates can pursue meaningful work in the private or public sector. Donate now »
