Prevent Child Abuse Georgia

PPREVENT CHILD ABUSE GEORGIA (PCA Georgia) is focused on changing the way our state thinks about prevention, with an emphasis on community education, public awareness, and public policies that prioritize prevention right from the start to make sure child abuse and neglect never occur.

PCA Georgia works to ensure the healthy development of children statewide and recognizes that child development is a building block for community and economic development. One of our programs, the 1-800-CHILDREN Helpline provides resources and support to families and caregivers across Georgia.

PCA Georgia is the state chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America (PCAA). PCAA, based in Chicago, has chapters in 48 states and is the only organization in the United States whose sole mission is “to prevent the abuse and neglect of our nation’s children.”

PCA Georgia is housed at Georgia State University’s School of Public Health in the Mark Chaffin Center for Healthy Development.

We all have a role to play in supporting the healthy development of children. Please join us in our efforts to protect and support Georgia’s children.
